Key Features
2-way splitting system
Split more wood in less time with less effort! Split-Fire is the pioneer 2-way split design. The hydraulic ram is inside a steel frame with the knife protruding up between 2 "V" shaped anvils. This means the knife is always in the splitting position removing the time wasted during the return cycle.
2 & 4-way Interchangeable Knives
The Split-Fire 4490 comes with both 2-way and 4-way knives. Quickly swapped over in a few seconds with no tools required. Use the 2-way knife on large diameter and tough knotty logs and the 4-way knife on smaller straight grained logs.
Box section beam
Eliminate the possibilities of any bending with Split-Fire's unique box-section beam.
"V"-shaped anvils
Split-Fire's "V"-shaped anvil design focuses the tonnage on the centre of the log and enables the log to effortlessly hinge open. This makes for a far safer splitting experience by preventing dangerous "flyouts" of tensioned wood.
Large Flat Tables
The 4490 comes standard with large work tables fitted. These can easily be removed to be replaced with our optional Extra-Large table or Log Lifter kit.
Removeable Drawbar
Remove the drawbar when using the splitter to create a more compact and safe splitting environment. A jockey wheel is fitted as standard on the 4490.
