Taskpower's origins extend all the way back to 1964, when two young ex-orchardists started servicing motor vehicles and farm machinery. This concern soon became known as Nelson Equipment Centre - the region's leading small equipment retailer.
Our first load of imported log splitters hit the shores in 1994. In 2008 Nelson Equipment Centre was sold and became a Stihl Shop. Taskpower NZ Ltd was incorporated and took over all imported lines, at that time including log splitters and mowers. Since 2008 we have continued to grow. In 2011 we took on the Groundhog aerators, taking on a new journey in farm machinery, now one of our core markets. This also marked our first in-house manufactured product, made in New Zealand. In 2016 we moved to our current Bolt Rd premises, giving us more room for continued expansion. In 2019 we first started selling excavator attachments. This opened up a further market.
Now in our 15th year of business, and with the third generation involved, we are dynamic, diverse business with a bright future.
Now more than ever, our continued commitment to quality products and quality aftersales service is what matters most. We remain committed to customer satisfaction and stand behind our products, even when things go wrong.
