Two young ex-orchardists start servicing motor vehicles and farm machinery. This concern soon became known as Nelson Equipment Centre - the Nelson region's leading small equipment retailer.
Nelson Equipment Centre took on the Stihl Agency in 1979, and would distribute Stihl products for the next 40 years.
In 1994 we received our first shipment of imported log splitters from the U.S.A.
In 2008, Taskpower NZ Ltd was incorporated, and took over the importing and distribution side of the business. Nelson Equipment Centre was sold and became Nelson Stihl Shop.
In 2011 we purchased the Groundhog Aerators brand, beginning a new journey in farm machinery and manufacturing.
2014 was the first year we exhibited at National Fieldays. We now exhibit at a number of regional Field Days around NZ as well.
In 2016 we moved to larger premises in Annesbrook, Nelson during a period of growth for the company
In 2019 we received our first shipment of excavator attachments
