FEMAC T3US DFD Fixed Tooth Mulcher for 2.5T + Excavators
Specifications
The FEMAC T3US is a new fixed tooth hydraulic mulcher for 2.5-7.0T excavators — the smallest fixed tooth mulcher in the FEMAC range — built to cut material up to 120-150mm in diameter.
Fixed tooth mulchers have traditionally only been available on excavators from 5.0T upwards, meaning anyone with a smaller machine has had to leave large diameter material for a bigger contractor or a chainsaw. The T3US puts real grinding power — not just flailing — within reach of mini excavators.
A bite limiter rotor stops the T3US burying itself in dense material, keeping cutting speed consistent on the biggest branches it's rated for. Reversible fixed teeth give two cutting edges each, effectively doubling tooth life, while a funnel-shaped frame and fully unrestricted rotor maximise cutting capacity.
Key Features:
- Three sizes for excavators 2.5-7.0T: DFD50 (2.5-4.0T, 50cm), DFD75 (4.0-5.5T, 75cm), DFD100 (5.5-7.0T, 100cm)
- Cuts material up to 120-150mm in diameter
- Helicoidal DFD rotor, reversible fixed teeth (10, 14 or 18 by model)
- Bite limiter rotor stops the mulcher burying itself in dense material
- 32cm rotor diameter, direct transmission, cast iron gear motor
- Double row bearings with "labyrinth"-protected supports
- Funnel-shaped frame, front hood delete for maximum cutting capacity
- 35-55 L/min flow, 180-250 bar, 170-230kg depending on model
The T3US suits lifestyle and rural property owners with large fallen trees or established gorse and willow a standard flail mulcher can't chew through — without hiring a bigger excavator. It's equally valuable for contractors wanting to quote on oversized material using the mini excavator they already run.
Quick Answers:
Q: What size excavator does the FEMAC T3US suit?
A: It suits excavators from 2.5-7.0T, across three sizes — DFD50 (2.5-4.0T, 50cm), DFD75 (4.0-5.5T, 75cm) and DFD100 (5.5-7.0T, 100cm).
Q: What can the FEMAC T3US mulcher cut?
A: Its fixed tooth rotor cuts material up to 120-150mm in diameter — large fallen branches and established scrub a standard flail mulcher can't handle.
