JAK-300C is JAK's newest tree shear, for excavators 6-12T.

With a 300mm max cutting capacity, this shear is ideal for topping trees, clearfelling smaller trees and brush, and limbing branches.

The cutting force is concentrated on the side of one clamping jaw. This solution enables a lighter structure of the grapple and also a more affordable price.

This multipurpose tree shear model is the result of long-term product development and research. 

Manufactured from Hardox steel, the JAK-300C is a heavy duty implement designed to provide years of reliable service.

Thanks to the design and the quick-removable blade, the grapple also works great in many other applications besides felling trees, such as loading, handling materials, etc.

Like other JAK tree shears the blade is replaceable.

The open structure also helps to keep the tree shear clean of wood chips or dirt, so that the grapple does not clog even in intensive use.

Changing the coupling to a different model is an easy procedure if necessary. The same grapple can fit several machines by changing the adapter plate.

NB: Some images show the optional collector attachment, which allows for multiple cuts in one pass.

What size trees can the JAK-300C Tree Shear cut?

The JAK-300C Tree Shear has a maximum cutting diameter of
300mm. Like all tree shears on the market, this rating is for softwood;
hardwoods will reduce and the effective diameter will depend on the type of
wood. We suggest you talk to our experienced team about what you’re cutting for
a better idea what size tree shear you need.

What excavator size do I need for a JAK-300C Tree Shear?

The JAK-300C shear grab will work on as small as a 6.0T
excavator, up to around 20T. A number of factors can affect this, including how
high you’re working, and the weight of what you’re cutting – we recommend you
talk to our experienced team to discuss your options.

What are the advantages of using a JAK Tree Shear instead

While grapple saws are an incredibly versatile piece of
equipment, there are several main advantages of using a JAK Tree Shear instead.
