    Ground-Hog Aerators have long been proven to be an effective way to releive compaction, increase root depth, and improve productivity on New Zealand farms, orchards, vineyards and sportsfields.

    If your property is suffering from the effects of poor drainage or compaction, a Ground-Hog could be for you. The unique tines on a Groundhog aerator lift and shatter the soil profile, improving the friability of the soil and allowing water, fertiliser, manure and vital nutrients to filter deeper into the soil profile. The resulting longer root structure improves plant resilience, nutrient uptake and productivity. Compared to a leg type aerator or subsoiler, Groundhog Aeration equipment is faster and easier to pull, and doesn't make a mess.

    The unique tine design is effective whilst causing minimal surface disturbance. Some models of Groundhog can also be utilised as a low-till cultivation implement. When the shafts are adjusted to 10 degrees, the machine functions similar to a set of offset discs - an ideal tool for working in cropped ground or working up badly pugged areas for re-seeding.     Groundhog aerators feature a unique lift and shatter on the tines that effectively breaks up compacted soil. When the soil profile is compacted, roots struggle to penetrate and to break up the ground to take up vital nutrients within the soil.
